A. This is one DIY we do not recommend! Garage door springs have a lot of tension and can be extremely dangerous to change without the proper tools and knowledge.

Q. Can I change my own springs?

A. There is typically a bright colored button on the back of your opener/motor called the Learn Button. If you push the Learn Button a solid light comes on near or next to the button, you will want to immediately push and hold in the remote button that you're wanting to program for a few seconds. The next push on the remote should operate the door. (Please note: some newer openers and commercial openers may vary-feel free to call with further questions)
